We caught up with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen in between the maps of NiP and Virtus.pro to get his thoughts on their fairly one-sided quarter-final with Kinguin, tomorrow's clash with EnVyUs and two remaining quarter-finals.

TSM had little to no trouble overpowering Kinguin on two maps, de_dust2 and de_overpass, as they didn't let the European mixture take more than 14 rounds in total.

After Virtus.pro won map one against NiP, de_train, we caught up with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen to get his thoughts on a couple of subjects:

What did you expect from the quarter-final against Kinguin, did you have a good idea on how they were going to play? Can you walk us through the match from your point of view?

It was a little bit easier than we expected, I don't think they actually showed their full potential at all. Some of their players are incredibly skilled individually, rain, ScreaM, dennis, Maikelele and fox as well. We had a really good idea on how they were going to play, we just played our game and it worked out, it was fairly easy.

It felt like they were just going for picks and abuse rotations, but it didn't really work for them, we were really good at not giving them the first picks all the time. They didn't do anything we haven't seen before, so we had a good idea on how to counter it as well. People just hit their shots and the communication is really good. We didn't have like a super-big idea on what they were gonna do, because it was kinda random, but overall we just played our game and that's it.

dupreeh expects fnatic to be in the final

EnVyUs' semi-final is coming up tomorrow, how do you think you are going to be able to adapt to them after Gamescom?

I don't know, they beat us pretty simply at Gamescom, but we were also pretty unlucky with the maps. They got Cobblestone and Cache, not the maps that we wanna play, that's the first priority. So they got lucky with the maps there, it was only Inferno that was pretty close, which is one of the maps that we really know how to play to a pretty good extent. I feel like when we play them it just comes down to who is better on the day and who has more individual skill. It's not like they have super new strategies or anything special about it, it's about hitting your shots, getting the kills and playing the rotation game, and that's how the game is gonna go.

What are you expecting from the remaining two quarter-finals, Virtus.pro and NiP who are now underway and then fnatic and Luminosity?

I was a little surprised that NiP didn't win Train, especially since they won both pistol rounds and also both anti-ecos as well. They had like 6-0 just from that and they should've won that. But Virtus.pro is one of the best teams in the world on Train. I don't know what comes up next, but I hope NiP takes it to the third map to make it exciting. And then I think fnatic is going to win 2-0 against Luminosity, it might be a little close, but I expect a 2-0. Tomorrow we're probably gonna see Virtus.pro against fnatic in the semi-final and I think fnatic is gonna go all the way.

The last match of the day is upon us now, as Luminosity are looking to go into an uphill battle against fnatic in the last quarter-final.
